Local Nonprofits need our help - Donate to one today. No matter the amount, it helps.

Full Article: Supporting Sebastopol Nonprofits

Sebastopol has wonderful nonprofits. They're hurting these days. Help them out. Make a donation to one you love - the one you want to see up and running after the pandemic. These groups give, give, give to us, improving the quality of all our lives. They need us to give to them now.

Nonprofits you can support: Choose one. Send in $25 (or more..the point is to send what feels OK to send in this odd pandemic time when everyone is facing financial stresses).

Jim Corbett/Mr. Music. Jim is an amazing member of our community who has done so much to make our lives here in Sebastopol warm and full of music. His Peacetown concerts are wonderful. His program is struggling. You can help make sure he's still around after the pandemic. CLICK HERE to donate.

Rotary Club of Sebastopol Mini-Grant Program: The Rotary Club of Sebastopol has been in place for 19 years, and has donated over $300,000 to help teachers in West County do what they do best: teach our children. The pandemic has forced the event that supports this program to be cancelled, at a time when teachers need all the help we can offer them. CLICK HERE to donate to make sure our teachers get the support they need.

Sebastopol Sunrise Rotary Club: This Club is amazing in its good works. We know them for the Cajun Fest at Ives Park, and for their amazing projects. One project: the installation of the playground equipment at Libby Park. The way they support their grants to the community is through events. They can't do that this year. We need Sunrise Rotary to survive. CLICK HERE to donate to this great service club.

Sebastopol Center for the Arts: What a great organization. Recently they started a Supervised Distance Learning Program, bringing children together at SebArts. They learn and get enrichment, and have the opportunity to be away from their homes in a Covid-19 safe environment. And there are scholarships available. Support this program, and know that you are making a real difference in the lives of children from our community. CLICK HERE to support the SebArts Distance Learning Program.

Sebastopol Community Cultural Center: SCCC has given West County a rich program of recreational, educational, and entertainment offerings for decades. The pandemic, coming on the heals of floods and other challenges, has created a huge strain on their ability to serve the community. If you have fond memories of times spent with friends and family at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center, consider donating to help them make it through these tough times. CLICK HERE

Sebastopol Kiwanis Club: The Kiwanis Club funds its many efforts each year through the July 3rd fireworks. And no, we did not have that event this year. The Kiwanis Club pivoted, and held an online auction instead. They did not raise as much money as they would have raised from the fireworks event, but what they raised they immediately granted to needs in West County: nonprofits and teachers and much much more. Communicate your appreciation and help them keep doing more to help our community. To donate to the Sebastopol Kiwanis Club, mail a check to PO Box 1041, Sebastopol Ca 95473, or contact Patti Stack at patti@pattistack.com.

Sebastopol Senior Center: The Sebastopol Senior Center has done its very best to continue to offer serve West County, even in the face of the pandemic. New Executive Director Katie has continued the tradition of quality services, and is doing an amazing job. If this is the organization that calls to you, let them know how much you appreciate them. CLICK HERE to make sure they are able to continue their good works.
